@MaddeSims I'm glad the game works now. For the downloading DLC issue, here's the (somewhat long) master thread:
Some people have fixed the problem by buying another copy of the base game, but I'd hold off on that for at least a little while—EA is actively investigating and may have a fix soon. Or you can buy another copy, then contact EA customer support and get a refund, which doesn't seem to negatively impact the ability to download.

Hello
I have a problem with my sums 3 since I bought a new PC with an intel card not supported by sims 3. like many the game bugs when I want to start and I go back to the EA platform.
I launch the game via the script and it works but my additional discs do not appear in the game. Sims 3 season, animals... I only have the base game.
how could I do it?
Thanks for your help

@Tiphainebtg Is the problem that your packs don't download, or something else? I ask because there's a known issue with downloading right now:
But perhaps the problem is different. If you haven't already, open your EA App game library, click Sims 3, then Manage > Manage add-ons, and see whether the packs are installed. If not, click Download and let me know whether it works. If you get the error in the above thread, I'll move your posts there.
If the packs show as installed but are not loading in-game, please open the Sims 3 launcher, click the Expansions & Stuff tab, and see whether the packs are listed there. If they're not (but the App thinks they're installed), that's a different problem. If the packs are listed, check the boxes next to them, and they should now load.

@ryanrossl0ver Normally I'd need the entire dxdiag, saved as a text file. But this image makes your issue clear: you have a processor on which Sims 3 doesn't start correctly. I've therefore moved your post to the master thread for this issue. Please see the accepted solution on page one for workarounds.

Soo, I don't know where exactly to put this solution.. BUTTT in the beginning, my expansion packs weren't downloading. I bought another sims 3 (from EA), downloaded all my expansion packs, then requested a refund. After that, the launcher would open but when I would try to launch sims 3 it would always take me back to the EA App. But if you don't log into your sims 3 account that's displayed in the launcher... The game works. With all the EPs. OR you could try playing it without being connected to the internet. I've found that works too.

Is there any reason of why this only allows my version of the sims 3 on steam to work, yet whenever I try on the EA app, still closes out the game? Is there a workaround for that? I’m not sure how to do the second method properly; and I’d prefer the ea app version due to having the Katy Perry expansion pack 🥲

@ryanrossl0ver A Steam install uses TS3W.exe, with the W; an EA App install uses TS3.exe, without the W. So make sure you're applying the patch to the correct executable. Please also make sure that the App is closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager—either one might block changes to the game's program files.
You can also try one of the other two workarounds in the accepted solution.
