@Akhna Are you using an admin Windows account? Do you have a third-party antivirus installed, and if so, does it help to disable it temporarily? I'm not suggesting you get rid of your antivirus, just that this would be a useful test.

@Akhna Then yes, you're in an admin account. I'm not sure why the script throws that error sometimes; I haven't seen it myself, but then I don't need to use it. Some players have reported that restarting their computers resolved the problem. You can also try running Origin as an admin before launching the script.
Process Lasso might have a bit of a learning curve, but it's a viable alternative if the script just won't cooperate.

I got the same Problem with my new PC. With the script I can open the launcher - without origin pops up immediately. I know the problem is the CPU. I can't open PowerShell I've tried to change it but it does'nt work for me. When I want to open it it pops up and then closes. But after that I can open the Launcher. When I'm trying to start Sims 3 in the Launcher it closes and origin is popping up.My next step is to test if it works with process lasso. I'm hoping there is a solution because I love the game.
Edit: I can run it with Process Lasso thank you.
