Sims 3 problems

I bought the sims 3 a few months back, and recently got a new computer. Unfortunately, I lost the case the game came in, and have no access to the activation code. I really enjoy this game and I would love to be able to play it on my new computer. Is there any way I can get the serial code back or will I have to buy a new game?

@gymnastnmgc Is your computer a pc or mac? Did you redeem the code in Origin?

As @roberta591 suggested, if you registered your code in Origin or thesims3.com, that would solve the issue. Also, do you still have the game installed in any of your computers?
