Sims 3 doesnt launch

Hello, I just upgraded my computer fully and had to redownload all my games. While trying to open The Sims 3 for the first time, it immediately crashes. I don't even get to see the launcher. I click play on the EA app and the EA app minimizes for a second, but then immediately reopens, as if the game insta-crashes. I tried repairing the installation, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the whole EA App, to no avail. I couldn't even find someone with the same issue. I have no mods downloaded because the game folder isn't even in my documents yet, because it hasn't been successfully run. Not sure what to do about all this, any advice would be appreciated.

@AmmyDrammy1  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue, which is that DirectX 9 isn't installed properly.  Please manually install DX9, as described here:

I bought the sims 3 from a webstie with digital code to redeem on the ea app 2 days ago, I redeemed it and after downloading I pressed the play button and it didn't work, since then it was three days that I have been trying to make it work by re installing, repairing, deleting and logging out of the ea app few times but still nothing helps.

I have contacted ea costumer support yesterday but it still didn't help, they also said its a problem that more users are dealing with at the same time and they're working on fixing it but still there is no answer back when I contacted them two times about this to try to understand when its gonna be fixed.

While comparing my sims 4 and sims 3 that I have, my sims 4 works well and there is no option of "purchasing the game" at the manage button- but my sims 3 does have it but it also says that I own the standard version.

Does anyone know what to do or does have the same issue?

@daniellest11  If you're pressing Play in the EA App and nothing happens, please try this:

If you can open the Sims 3 launcher, but pressing Play there just kicks you back to the EA App, and your computer has a 12th- or 13th-gen Intel processor, please see this:
