Sims 3 game freezes

I just had my computer in because my Sims3 game freezes every few seconds.  I did have a virus, which they fixed.  They updated, tweaked...etc.  It still freezes.  They said I have sufficient memory to play the game.....what else could be the issue??

@CLBDG  Is your computer a pc or mac? There are many things that affect computer performance. If your computer is a pc please post your computer's dxdoag - link - how to post dxdiag

@CLBDG  The Intel HD Graphics 5500 is not very powerful. Try lowering the resolution of the game - try 768X1024 and see how the game plays.

Thank you...I chatted with a tech on Origin, he suggested the same thing....I may have it too high...
