Sims 3 Pets and University Won't Download

@puzzlezaddict Hmmm, I tried this out and I'm getting a message after it tries to install that it could not connect to the internet. The message provides an alternate link to try to download but it also comes up with the "cannot connect to the internet" message. I feel like EA really doesn't want us to have Origin anymore.

If that doesn't help you, then unfortunately, there's nothing else to do but wait for EA to fix the downloading issue with the App.  I have no idea when that will be.

can you help?  You said "I understand and it works." Can you say what worked?  Do we need to repurchase via the website?  I am so tired of wrestling with this problem.

@61d10c8275aa4061  You don't need to repurchase anything.  The idea here is to download Origin, even if you can't use it properly, and let Origin install your missing packs.  I'm not sure whether the workaround is valid as of now, but it's easy enough to try.

I just bought Island Paradise to finish off my collection of expansions. I already have the Sims 3 base game. whenever I launch the game and go to the expansions pack, island paradise is never there. the ea app says it's installed content like the worlds, and says "you already own this pack" whenever I go to download it. what do I do. 

in all my years of playing I've never seen a bug like this. did I just waste my money? am I allowed to get a refund? help.

@EMPShielded Try uninstalling the Sims 3 and DLCs, sign out of the EA app, restart your device, sign back in and re-install the Sims 3.

@EMPShielded  I've merged your post with a longer thread for this issue.  It's a known problem with the EA App, and while you can try the suggestion on page one (with an update a few posts above yours), there's no guarantee it works anymore.  Otherwise, you'll unfortunately need to wait for EA to fix it.

I think I goofed up because I can't get my physical EPs cuz I deleted them. I lost my codes. 💀
