Does anyone have a solution to this? I've tried Biuebell Flora's guide and followed every step but it still doesn't work for me.
My Macbook details:
MacOS High Sierra (Version 10.13.6)
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015
Processor 1,6 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB
Really sad because I've been a huge fan of the sims 3 since it was released and I used to play it all the time. I play sims 2 as an alternative but I crave sims 3's open world.

@giselabtrix Your model of processor and integrated graphics card is perhaps the most difficult to work with when trying to get Sims 3 up and running. It has been done, but it doesn't always work. If you want to try again though, please do all of this, in order:
Uninstall everything, and clean out the hidden library files that don't get removed by the uninstall process. Here's Bluebellflora's guide; be sure to follow every step:
https://bluebellflora.com/how-to-do-a-clean-uninstall-and-reinstall-on-a-mac/
Install only the base game, no packs. Run the Super Patch to manually bring the patch level to 1.67.

Launch the game, and you'll likely get an unknown error because your graphics chip isn't recognized. You'll need to edit two separate .sgr files within the game's program files. Bluebellflora has prepared the text you'll need for your Intel 6000. Again, please make sure to follow the instructions exactly.

Restart your computer, and launch the game with nothing else running, not even a browser window. If you get the license server error, that's fine, and fixable, but it at least means the unknown error has been addressed.
If you still get an unknown error, do another clean uninstall, create a new admin user on your Mac, and follow the same instructions to install into that user account.
