Sims 3 Update Issues [MAC]

I have sims 3 no add ons or extention packs I want to update but when i click update it downloads gets to about quarter of the download and then stops? how do I get it to update?

I've been having the same problem, right now I'm trying to update it through the launcher and finally it's gottena bout half way now.
