Hi there.
Ever since I installed showtime my game ahs been running fine except that the lights and special efffects that occur during performances don't show up. I read that this can be caused by an outdated nomosaic mod so I went through every folder but couldnt find it. I ran about 3 searches of my system and nothing turned up and I even went through all my mods manually to see if it was any of them causing the glitch. But even without any CC my game still won't work properly. Help?!

Move all mods folders (if you have one in the programs directory as well, delete that one) to the desktop and also delete your cache files. It does sound suspiciously like that mod.
Go to documents\ea\thesims3 and delete these files
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package

Do you maybe still have a mods folder in the programs folder ? Did you search there ?
Are you missing any other effects or just the showtime ones ?

I do have a mods folder, but the nomosaic mod isn't in there. Should I just delete it? I don't think there were the normal birthday effects from the base game either either. I just picked up on it in showtime because of the sfx machines. Come to think of it, even the traps in WA don't have animations anymore.

Thank you so much! I think it was that cheeky mods folder that was messing it up. Game works perfectly now, thanks for your help!
