Sims 3 Product key not working

I used my product key to instsll sims 3 and it worked perfectly. I had to reinstsll origin and now i have to reinstsll the sims 3 but it' saying my product key has already been used! how do i sort this?

@CraftyPiker  Login into Origin using the same login and password you used when you installed the game. Once you activate a game and/or pack the code you used is locked to that account. This is the account you will use all the time for this game. You can not deactivate the game from that account. If you don't have Origin installed, download and install the Origin client. Start Origin and login using the same login you used when you installed the game the first time. The base game icon should be in the my games library of Origin and if the game is not installed right click the icon and click download. Depending on the speed of your ISP the download may take awhile as this is a large download.
