Sims 3 Product Code won't work

I'm currently trying to install my Sims 3 game on my computer through Origin, and every time I enter the product code it says it's already been used. I've downloaded the sims on my older computer which now doesn't work and I am now trying to use it on my new computer but it won't accept my code. I've never entered this code through origin before and I have no idea why it's not working for me.

I'd hate to have to buy a new game when I already have it, so can someone please help me try and resolve this issue?

Please keep in mind that if you bought the game off Origin, it is AUTOMATICALLY registered FOR YOU! To get your accounts connected, simply use the same details as you use for Origin.

If you have bought the game second-hand - you will not be able to re-register it. Games can only be registered ONCE.
