Sims 3 Launcher Error 500?

★★ Novice

Well this is a first...

I'm trying to install some store content and I get caught in an endless loop of being forced to login even though I am logged in on the launcher. If I open the launcher and login directly then click the "Welcome" button  I get faced with "The Website Cannot Display The Page".

My laptop is up to spec and I've only encountered this problem today.

What I've tried so far

  • Clearing origin cache
  • Respawning the Sims 3 folder
  • Clearing my Edge cache (I dont have IE)
  • Clearing my Firefox cache
  • Restarting my laptop
  • Deleting the .bin file with my email address from the Downloads folder
  • Deleting ALL of the files in the Downloads folder
  • Stamping my feet in frustration
  • A sacrificial offering to the EA Gods

Any suggestions or is this actually a server issue?

@TempestSims IE11 has sunset on 6/15/22 (R.I.P.). There is a compatibility mode in Edge.

1. click ... in upper right

2. click settings

3. click default browser

4. Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode

5. Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values > Reset.

6. To remove personal data, go to Settings > Privacy... services > Choose what to clear > select All time > check each box > Clear now

And thank you Microsoft for making this easier

I haven't tried this yet but at the moment I don't see any other way as the game uses the APIs in IE (now Edge) to communicate with servers

The site is up but slow maybe because of the TS4 werewolf pack .being release yesterday.
