Sims 3; Katy Perry Sweet Treats

I am trying to install my copy of Katy Perry Sweet Treats & it keeps telling me that there is an update for the game, i update it & then it tells me to patch it and it doesnt work. I have never tried to play the game before, & I still have the original receipt If you could help that would be great! Thanks!! ( :

What happens when you try to patch? Do you get an error message?

Also, what other expansions and stuff packs do you have installed and what is the latest patch you were able to install?

If you open your launcher, you see a series of little icons on the bottom. The first one is for the base game. If you hover over it, you'll see a number.

What is that number ?

It should start with 1.xx

1.36 would be the newest update.
