Sims 3 Expansion - Sims 3 Website to Origin

★★★ Newbie

I recently bought a Sim 3 expansion through the origin store. It redirected me to the Sims 3 website to redeem the code. Now it's redeemed on the website but it's not on origin - says I do not own it. How do I get it transferred to origin?? Thanks.

Re: Sims 3 Expansion - Sims 3 Website to Origin

@daleyoungns  Did you sign into the Sims 3 website using the same acccount as you use in Origin?  If so, the expansion should show up in Origin too: it and the website share information.  Try clearing Origin's cache to make it refresh its data:

By the way, an expansion won't show up as a separate entry in your Origin game library.  You need to click on the Sims 3 entry and select More > Expansion Packs, then scroll down to the pack.

If this doesn't help, you'll need to contact EA customer support to get it sorted out.  Whether you accidentally used the wrong account or perhaps received a bad code, support should be able to figure it out.

If you happen to be playing the 64-bit Mac version, sometimes the "entitlements," as they're called, for the 64-bit versions of new purchases don't get added properly.  In that case, all you'd need to do would be to ask EA support to add the entitlement for the 64-bit version of your pack to your account.
