Sim has disappeared in game

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Pets, Seasons, Island Living, Snowy Escape, Parenthood, Outdoor Retreat, Laundry Day
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? A sim disappeared randomly
What happens when the bug occurs? I had an error 112 and could not open my family, I opened another family on the same save and opened family as build mode. I was then able to open family. I played for a while and switched families. One sim was gone when I swapped back. Sim household was made up of grandma, parents, 3 kids and 2 dogs. One of my kids disappeared. Still appears in family tree but not relationships, not in create a sim or in family bin or at another household. Does not appear on household.
What do you expect to see? My sim back
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

but what causes this? Often times i do not realize Sims are missing until after i have done more work or building, and cannot go back to a save, even if it exists. It seems to be random, as it is both recently played and edited households and non-played Sims that vanish.

@JJ-Blaze9 There isn't one reason that can cause Sims going missing. In case of OP it was an error code that probably corrupted Sims families. Mods can be another reason or something went wrong while saving.

There's also culling and or save games bein moved around.

So it would probably best to make your own thread and give a bit more details.

- Did only some Sims disappear or all of them ? NPCs, housed, unhoused ?
- Is your played family still the way you saved last ?
- Did you have any errors or save issues ?
- Any mods/cc in your game ?
- Did you ever have the father winter save bloat issue ?
- whatever else comes to mind.
