Sim can't finish reading

Hello,

I have a problem with achievement "read a whole book". I mean my sim can read a book again and again and there is still no progress. On my previous saves there was no problem. I don't know what to do.

@mirarav  I've moved your post to the Sims 4 PC tech section.  I'm actually not sure whether this might be a bug or other known issue, but hopefully another helper will be able to clarify.

This bug sometimes happens when the sim reads the cooking guide. Change this book for anything else and he should read it to the end. However, he needs to back to reading the second time. He will never read the book to the end during the first reading.
