Set up sims 4 on old, inaccessible laptop

A few years back i set up Sims 4 on my old laptop. I now have a new laptop and tried to set it up using the serial code. However, it is saying this code has already been used. I dont have access to my old laptop and really want to play! Please may you help

@LydsElla  Once a code has been registered to an account, it can't be used again, even in the same account.  But you should be able to login to that same account you used before and downlod Sims 4 from your game library.  There's no need to re-register the game.
