Script mods won't stay on

★★★ Newbie

I am having issues with script mods.

I am able to select it and apply, but when I close and restart the game to finalize installing, it disabled again. It won't stay on...

Any ideas?

Have you tried to fix the game in Origin?
If you tried it wasn't working I think that some damaged file in the game folder is responsible for it.
Try to do a factory reset as is described in this post

When you have exited the game, do this and try again:
1. Move (not copy) Saves, Tray, Mods, Screenshots, and Custom Music folders and the Options.ini file to your desktop. Delete the Scratch subfolder from inside Saves.
2. Delete the rest of the The Sims 4 folder from your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
3. Start the game, and exit the game. Now you have a fresh Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder.
4. Copy all the folders and the file back and start the game again.

I tried it and it worked! Hope this helps

@henllo1 Do you still have the folder you moved to your desktop ? The saves are all there.

Could you describe what you did ?
