So I had Sims 3 ever since May 2019, and i never had a issue like this AT ALL until i got my new computer for christmas… I just remembered that I had the sims 3 and i downloaded everything and installed everything, the launcher appears and I click on play it loads for a little bit and directs me right back to origin, i tried looking at forums, contacting EA support, repairing, undownloading and it still does the same thing. ( BTW - this is literally a brand new computer, hasn’t been owned by anyone else ) please help me!

@kilalanelya Even though you don't have a 12th-gen Intel processor, your dxdiag shows the same errors as those players, so the same fix may work for you. Specifically, that's limiting the game to one CPU core as it loads, which you can do in any of the ways listed in the accepted solution on page one of this thread:
Your dxdiag also shows a number of Origin errors, so I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling it (not the EA App, at least not while it still has a few relevant problems). Clear Origin's cache and uninstall it "the hard way":

You can find a download link for Origin here:
Restart your computer after reinstalling Origin and before trying to play.

@kilalanelya Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@kilalanelya First thing to do is go to control panel - programs and features - turrn Windows features on or off and enable .NET Framework. The Sims 3 launcher requires this Windows feature to be enabled to run. This is not enabled by default.

okay, so i did everything and it didn't work, then i tried the patch thing and that worked! I just have the base game, none of my packs that i brought from origin are showing up it's like the expansions & stuff is completely gone.

@kilalanelya The missing packs is a known issue:

We're hoping it'll be fixed soon, but there's no official announcement. You can keep an eye on that thread for updates.
