@AtomicTurtle22 Please try reinstalling DirectX 9. You don't need to uninstall anything; just download the installer from Microsoft and run it, then restart your computer.

Hello everyone,
If you are still having issues launching the game it would be very useful if you generate an Origin Error Report and share its ID with us.
In addition, it should be also important if you could share with us your InstallLogs, which can be found in the folder where the game was downloaded, e.g: D:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 3Installer

So I just did a system reboot on my computer reinstalled origin and the sims 3 and for whatever reason my sims 3 launcher will not open for anything i know it works on this computer i have played it before so far ive tried repairing the game downloading direct x9 ive tried running both origin and sims 3 as administrator and ive tried running the game in compatibility mode windows 8 i have even called and emailed ea and they have been no help so you guys are my last hope please if yall have any ideas if ut works you would be a life saver

If not, please try that now.
