Can't Install Sims 3 or DLC from EA App on New Computer

★★ Apprentice

I had to get a new PC because mine broke. I figured I would go ahead and switch to the EA App since Origin is getting shut down in the near future, but when I try to install my sims 3 and my DLC, it keeps getting stuck, specifically on installing Showtime for some reason. I have tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. I also discovered I had to make the EA Games folder the game would get downloaded to because the app wasn't doing it on its own. I really don't want to play Sims 4 since its a broken mess, so can anyone tell me how I can get games to properly download and install with this new app?

@Silver_Doe9453  EA has acknowledged there are issues downloading right now and are working on the issue.

Sims 3 "Something Went Haywire" Error

★★ Novice

I was trying to download the Sims 3 on the EA app all morning, but when I went to download the game and three of its packs - Pets, High End Loft, and the Late Night Expansion Pack - when I got an error after downloading the game and the Pets pack saying "Something Went Haywire". I restarted the app five different times, uninstalled the game and tried redownloading it, even recovered the EA app twice. I even tried to look for answers but I couldn't find any and I don't know why Im even getting the error. It also messes with my download manager and makes it so all I see is a loading symbol. I uninstalled it again and downloaded just the Sims 3, which worked, but then when I tried downloading the pets expansion, the error popped up again. This is after I downloaded the Sims 4 and all its expansion packs without issue yesterday. Can anyone help me with this?

EA App doesn’t download TS3 DLCs

★★★★ Novice

I’ve installed the new EA App. In the app I downloaded The Sims 3 Starter Pack, but when I bought The Sims 3 Seasons, the app just doesn’t download any DLC at all, even the Starter Pack ones, I just have no ideia what to do, I have the option to download the packs but it doesn’t start or do anything, I already reinstalled the EA App, the TS3, tried to install the DLCs separatedly, but nothing works out.

@roberta591 Thank you so much for the update for all of us. Is there a way we can track the progress on it? Or is it just something they're doing behind-the-scenes? This seems to be affecting all of the DLCs for me, not just the Supernatural or Seasons.

Do you know if this is an EA App only issue? Or is this also an issue in Origin as well?

Is there a way to track their progress with solving this issue? I too have the problem of being able to download and play the base game, but when it comes to expansion packs, no matter which one, it happens with all of them, I get the 'Something went haywire' error message.
