Registration sims 3

I lost my box somewhere in the midst of moving and when i tried to download addons for the sims 3 game like lots and stuff, i realized that i needed a registration code or a serial code. I dont know where the box is so is there any way i can find it on my computer? i am using a macbook  pro. thanks
