Redeem code not working

So I got The Sims 4 on cd. It said the redeem code doesn't work because it's already been used. Is there any way to get a new code or a way to make this one work?

@HonestlyUndead  Did you ever activate the game before? Do you have a previous Origin account? The disc is only for installation only. The game needs to be activated in Origin. If you have already have an Origin account please login to that account as the code can only be activated to one account. Once activated the code is locked to that account. Does that game icon appear in the Origin library? If you are just trying to activate the game the system make take a little time to fully activate the game.
