It is showing up as installed in the launcher, no black screen.
I have tried moving the folder and re-installing.
Thank you for all of your suggestions, I will probably try re-installing all my content another day. The game isn't ruined without the content, just less interactions and objects for me to play with.
Thank you so much @Bluebellflora for all of your help!
just logged in and saw your message your most welcomes and Happy Christmas to you
good to hear though that you can play your game
I just launched my game and moused over the box in the launcher that says "run game without custom content"
I read what the warning message said, and it said that all objects will be PERMANENTLY replaced with basic objects.
So, I searched up "Sims 3 how to run game with custom content after clicking the box"
And I read some forums, and after un-installing and re-installing over 5 times, turns out all I had to do was click the box, click "cancel" on the warning message and un-click the box.
Launched my game, everything was there!
A Christmas miracle!
Thank you so much for all of your time and effort to help a ridiculous problem with such a simple yet ridiculous answer.
Merry Christmas! :D
Glad that this not only made me happy today
Made my day too.
No problem! Thanks for ALL of your help.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I'm off to continue enjoying my content!
That's great news! Well done
Using CC/Mods is at your own risk, EA are not responsible for making the game compatible with 3rd party content, the creator is.

This also happened to me a few times. Just keep clicking cancel, or click "OK" on the warning message until the little box shows up as being checked.
When the box shows up as being checked, Uncheck it, and run your game.
This should work, as it did for me and many people on a forum I checked out.
Here's the link:
Let me know if this works! Hopefully it does.
