Sims 3 launcher stopped working cannot install custom content or run game

I'm having this exact same problem! I boubt origin pass just so I could play sims 3. I could play at first, but now it's as you described for me as well! Please someone help us!?

@JaBKeY38  I've split your post into its own thread because the previous thread was quite old, and even Sims 3 has been patched since then.

Can you please describe exactly what you're seeing?  When does the game stop working, do you get any error messages, that kind of thing.  And as a test, please pull your entire Sims 3 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  Launch the game and try to load a new save.  Let me know whether it works.
