Sims 3 Installation Problem

How did you fix this?? I've just for a new laptop because my other died and I'm having the same problem!!

What kind of install is this: Origin, disc, Steam, etc.?  Where in the process does it stop working?  Please also attach a screenshot of any error message you get.
