There was mention earlier regarding the anti-virus provider. I know I brought it up a long time ago. I have Avast on Win 10 and Alvira on Win 8. I will be eliminating Avast on my computer soon and stick with Alvira. Avast disconnects 95% of the time, Alvira virtually 0%. And I have done all the opening up of ports as recommended and the firewall recommendations, etc.

@DisLesbian SimQARobo is from the Sims team, not EA support, and has a lot more insight into Sims-specific issues. Even if he can't fix your particular error, the information is useful for trying to sort out this issue in general.

My sims account keeps saying I can't connect online, and to check my connection. However, my internet is working perfectly fine! My origin appears online, but still says my sims can't connect to the internet. What should I do?

I can't get into the gallery and it says I'm offline when I am connected to the internet, I don't know what to do.

I think I might have success. I completely removed Alvira from my Win 10 and installed Alvira, which is on my Win 8. Still had to do some exclusion tinkering. But it seems to be working. Before the tinkering, virtually nothing was showing up except my Library. Now, my shared library is showing; and thus far, <knock on wood> I am receiving News unhindered.
As always, we'll see.

i’ve been trying to collect to the gallery since yesterday yet it’s in an endless loop of spinning. i’ve already tried going offline then back online in orgin but that fixed nothing.
