I have tried all of the options several times and it still doesn't work.

@ashpokemon1 I'm sorry you haven't been able to resolve this issue. Have you tried the suggestion by @kreatora?
Open Origin, click the word Origin at the top of the page on the left and choose "Refresh/Reload page". Then launch the game from Origin and check the Gallery.

I was hoping this would work for me, but it didn't. I've exhausted all other possible options too. Restarted router, turned off my firewall, ran game as administrator from both the game and from Origin. Also plugged in a internet cable directly to my laptop instead of using wifi and nothing works for me. I recently downloaded all my Sims 4 games to a new laptop about 2 months ago and haven't been able to connect since.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.72.28.1930
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them except SW:JourneytoBatuu and the kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know how....
What happens when the bug occurs? Freezes then says "could not connect"
What do you expect to see? A gallery connection
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Pre Eco Lifestyle Patch
I have tried all the troubleshooting steps to be able to connect to the in game gallery and none of them worked. I am out of ideas.
