Question regarding Linux for Mods/Gurus/whatever person of authority

★★★★ Novice

Linux is becoming more common and I would like to make the switch, the main thing stopping me is gaming. Recently Steam committed to making 2500 games available for Linux. Is EA and the Sims3 team planning on following suit and making Sims3 past, current, and future games compatible/ supported in Linux? I would love to be able to use my games in Linux without jumping through hoops to emulate it. Hope this is being planned.

There is no official info about the Linux and EA especially when Windows 8 is knocking the door on its way, but there are some games which *just work* on Linux although they aren't officially supported on Linux, you can try to go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and check any game if it supports Linux or not.

One more thing is that your can use a virtual Operating System program to run the games you like under a normal Windows while you are using Linux, please tell me if you like that and I will try to help you Standard smile, have a nice day ahead.
