Hi There,

I have tried many times to purchase The Sims 4 today and each time it has said "We're unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048] ". I have checked my bank account and Origin has taken $1.08 from my account even though I have not purchased the Sims 4!

Yes same here/ My account was previously compromised so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. It wont allow me to use my Paypal or my debit!!!

the $ charge is a verification on your card most places of business that are done online use this method to verify the card is valid before allowing you to use it when the amount of the full charge is not yet certain the $ is refunded

 

see this thread read point 1 which has some other links for you to read  and some spoiles if after read point 1 amd the limks inculded in point 1 them try contact CS
