@cameroman1981 Please try installing the worlds in a clean Sims 3 user folder. Move the entire existing folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop; if it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.
Otherwise, open the launcher to spawn a clean folder. Download one world and install it, then see whether it loads in-game. If it does, download and install your other worlds, one at a time, and test them too. If everything works, you can install the rest of your Store content, then move any saves or other content you'd like to keep from the old Sims 3 folder to the new one.

@puzzlezaddict I did what you said to do & it didn't work so I uninstalled & reinstalled the EA app & Sims 3 & it still didn't work. I also can't install anything from the Sims 3 Community website. It shows in the Sims 3 launcher that the file has downloaded but when I try to install it (i.e. towns & items) it says that there isn't anything to install. My game was working until Sunday. That's when my game went "glitchy" so I moved my saved game to my desktop & uninstalled Sims 3 & attempted to reinstall it. I've done this in the past & have never had a problem. That's when these problems occurred. I appreciate you trying to help all of us with this problem but this is something that EA needs to fix at the source. It would be nice if they would acknowledge this problem instead of ghosting everyone who is dealing with this.

@cameroman1981 This is exactly what happened with me when I tried to re-install the cash register for the pet store. I did exactly what you did (uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, etc) & now I can't even download the expansions, stuff packs, or things that I've purchased. From what I've read this issue first came up months ago (at least as far back as March) but EA has done nothing to fix this & is basically ignoring everyone who is reporting this problem. I've submitted a ticket & haven't heard anything from them, not even an auto reply stating my issue has been received.

@Kerry_Lady You're seeing a different issue than the original poster, and that issue has a known workaround:
The DLC not downloading is a separate known issue that EA is currently investigating. Please keep an eye on this thread for updates:

@puzzlezaddict I was going by what the title of the issue is - "Purchased worlds not downloading on sims 3". I have that problem but it all started with having an item showing as downloaded & installed on the launcher but not available in game (similar, in my mind, to what the poster's issue is). I thought the two were connected since that was the original poster's issue along with the worlds not downloading. I followed the instructions from the link you supplied & it worked - thank you. I have already posted on the other link you supplied, as have many others, with no results but I'm sure you already know this.

@Kerry_Lady It's not a problem at all, and I wasn't trying to criticize you, so I'm sorry if I came off that way. What I'm trying to do, here and in general, is get everyone to post in the correct thread as much as possible so EA can see the extent of all the issues, and so we can keep the posts within several very long threads rather than having a more scattered approach. If the original poster here solves their issue and marks the thread as solved, and you don't post elsewhere, your different and not-solved problems don't get counted, which doesn't help you or the others affected by the same errors.
In summary, Sims 3 on the EA App is a giant mess right now, and whatever we can do to call more attention to the mess can only help. Hopefully.
