Product Code not given

i am having the same problem but i don't know what this means! please explain and help

Go to the origin website and do the live chat thing. IT WORKS they have a live chat agent and i got my problem fixed and they gave me the right code

 This problem happened with two of my expansion packs for The Sims 3 and I have a slightly newer version of Origin. Instead of the product code not showing up at all, it just reads no_cd_key where the product code should be. I didn't buy this game as a CD, I bought it through Origin. 

If it's the same solution, where can I find the "show game details" button?
