Pretty ticked off right now

I have been unable to play The Sims 4 since the Oct. 1st. update.  I have tried asking for help on Facebook, but haven't really gotten an answer aside from being told to repair the game install.  My problem is, I can't repair the game install as I didn't download the game from Origin.  I installed it from a disk and am unable to repair the install.  My game freezes on the 'diamond' loading screen.(Where it says polishing plumbobs or other sayings.)  Someone please help me out.  If someone can't help me here, is there a number I can call to get help?

I figured it out on my own.  I ran Norton and that did the trick.  For some reason, I needed to run a system scan on my laptop before the game would work.
