Prebuilt houses are not showing when I move to them

What do I do I moved to a prebuilt house the first time I played it was there the secound time I went on the game I crated another house hold and move them into another house. The house didn't show up. So I moved them to a different one but that wasn't there. I have now uninstalled my game and have reinstalled it I have made a new household and moved them in but the houses are still not there how to I get the houses to show so my sims can move in????

Does the same happen when you start a completely new game ? Are you using mods in your game ?
