POSSIBLE WORKAROUND : Can't "play" Create a Sim Demo

Are you unable to play the Create a Sim demo? Downloaded it but either Origin does not recognize the game as isntlaled or it is installed but greyed out as if unreleased (greyed out)

There is a work around I figured out, not sure if it will work but here's what I've done

CAUTION : EA Advisors advise against doing this, so do this only if you are truly desperate, this could mess up your PC/OS

1. Log out of Origin

2. Open Registry Edit/Regedit

3. MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE TAMPERING WITH ANYTHING

4. Again, EA does not recommend tinkering with this, but if you REALLY wanna play and you know what you are doing this shouldn't hurt.

5. In Regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >>> SOFTWARE >>> Wow6432Node >>> Maxis >>> The Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo

6.Click on the "The Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo"

7.Right click and Modify "Install Dir" entry

8.Cut the entry, do not exit RegEdit

9. Launch Origin.

10. If you have done everything right you should be able to "Install" the game, DO NOT PRESS That

11. Go back to RegEdit (keep Origin open)

12. Paste the path back in "Install Dir"

13. Although the button has become back to greyed out Play, the "Box Art" should not, double click

14. The game should hopefully launch.

Again, this is how I got my Demo to work (especially since my Origin does not update Registry correctly anyway) I am not exactly sure fit hsi coudl work for all, and this worked for Windows 7.
