Initial patch on the 4th left my game crashing/closing without any error message before getting to main screen (initial loading screen did come up). I downloaded the hot fix patch through Origins and it still did the same. I downloaded and installed Eco this afternoon hoping that would fix everything and now when I try to initialize the game I don't get loading screen, I get this in an error box:

Initialization error at start up.

@Temprah This is usually a permissions issue, as in, Origin or the game doesn't have the permissions necessary to write data. Try the suggestions here:

Start with the Controlled Folder Access settings and disabling or setting exceptions in any antivirus/firewall you have running.
