Origin says I need to purchase Sims 3 Seasons but I already have......

★★★★ Novice

Not sure what is going on with Origin. I have purchased games (Sims 3 expansion packs and stuff packs). The Sims 3 Seasons is showing up as purchased on my Sims 3 page but not on Origin. Also, when I download my purchased expansion and stuff packs, Origin says they are downloaded but my launcher doesn't show them as being downloaded. I have went in and uninstalled all of them and Origin and re-downloaded them all again and still have the same problem. I have went in and removed the 'bad' files, cleared the cache, and cleared my programs of the Sims 3 games from my control panel before re-downloading them. Not sure what is going on. I have the same problem with another computer so I don't think it is an issue with that. I am aggravated that I cannot play my games. I have paid good money (purchases throughout the years) and I don't want to have to re-purchase them again. Someone please advise.

@smurphette423  Hi, I moved your thread to the Sims 3 section.

There are a few different issues here that may be intersecting, so it's a good idea to try to address all of them at once.  When you uninstall TS3, you also need to clean your computer's registry to remove some leftover files.  Otherwise, those registry entries can cause issues going forward, perhaps including your packs not showing in the launcher.  So it's a good idea to do a clean uninstall before proceeding.  You can clean the registry manually, or with a tool like Piriform's CCleaner (free download).

If you have saves you'd like to preserve, or any other user files, move your entire TS3 game folder out of Documents to your desktop or somewhere else, and rename the folder, just to be safe.  That way, the cleaner app, if you choose to use it, won't delete this game folder along with everything else.

Origin itself can "forget" which packs you own, or stale cache files can interfere with the launcher's ability to display your packs.  Clearing Origin's cache is easy enough, and you should do so before reinstalling the game.

If after a reinstall, you're still not seeing your packs in the launcher, try uninstalling Origin itself ("the hard way") and then reinstalling.  This wouldn't affect your TS3 install.

If none of this helps, you'll need to contact EA customer support to have someone look into your account details.  Sometimes EA deactivates packs due to bad codes; sometimes it's a mistake.  But only a support rep can check the codes and fix the error, if necessary.
