Origin download didn't work

Hi it was actually sims 3 pet expansion pack but anways, I have the disc for sims three and i bought the pets expansion pack on origin but when i go to the game and click play it says I need to insert the pets disc which obviously I dont have. Any help?

lemme see if i have this right, you have the sims3 then bought the pets as a digital download but the download is asking for a disk and you can't play as you don't have a sims 3 pets disk  as you got a digital download
