Only Plumbob appears - no Sims to be found

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.136.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except Realm of Magic, Vampires, Spooky Stuff and Romantic Garden
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Going into an existing game (build or live mode)
What happens when the bug occurs? My Sims are completely frozen into one spot and aren't visible - only the Plumbob hoovers over the ground. Even if I command to go somewhere else, they keep getting stuck into the same place. My floor (basegame) is also gone.
What do you expect to see? My Sims interacting the way I want them to
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The New emergency patch update after the big Sims Eco Lifestyle installation patch.

1. Close the game
2. Right-Click on the game in Origin
3. Hit Repair game.
