It still isn't working for me. It is not replacing the file. I have done all the steps: changed the language, moved the file to my desktop and right clicked on the game in origin to repair it. Am I supposed to delete the strings file all together and not even have it on my desktop?

Did Origin restart when you applied the new Language settings?

The file still doesn't get replaced when Origin is in English GB, I just tested that. It does in English US though.

It did restart. Things just still aren't working out for me.

Edit: I did set the language to US

Another Edit: My game is the Digital Deluxe ordered through Origin. Is that a choking point here? I mean I don't know what else to say.

Is it possible that the Origin language version caused corruption elsewhere when patching? We know that it's not replacing the strings file in a new install, but it's also not working in a broken game that has changed to US.

I am willing to reinstall my game but I would like to see if there are other ways to fix it first. I will definitely keep checking back here to try out new suggestions and let you all know whether it ends up working out. However because I live in Australia, there is a time difference so my apologies if I don't get back right away

I can't think of anything that causes this other than language problem or a problem with rights.

 

Can you try moving the entire folder the file is in to the desktop and see if that recreates on repair ?

 

Could you also make a screenshot of the error for me to use in a blog post ?
