Not all of my sims 3 expansion packs transferred over to my new computer.

★ Novice

I recently bought a new laptop and I wanted to transfer my sims 3 game over. I was able to get some of my expansion packs installed but when I went to install the rest, the only option to me is to buy them. I already own these packs, I don't know why they aren't registering.

Re: Not all of my sims 3 expansion packs transferred over to my new computer.

@AnimeLily99  Have you registered the missing packs in Origin?  Is it possible that you added them to a different account?  For example, if you used a different email to create a Sims 3 Store account and registered some packs there, that content wouldn't show up on your current Origin account.

If your packs are split between two accounts, you can ask EA customer support to merge them.  Keep in mind that any store content owned by the account that gets merged (i.e. the one that disappears) will likely not transfer to the account that remains.

If you never registered the missing packs, you can still do so now, provided that you can find the codes and they haven't already been used by someone else.  Even if you don't currently have the codes, you may still be able to find them on your old computer.  Here's how:

Windows:  https://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/09/how-to-find-your-serial-number.html

macOS:  https://bluebellflora.com/finding-your-serial-key-using-terminal/

If the codes have already been used and you can't find them on any account, you'll need to contact support to ask for help.
