No sound Sims 4 PC

Hi Ed1776,

I have been clicking buttons and toggles since 11/17/2020 and trying just about everything to resolve this issue on my PC.

Tonight something finally worked for me

.

With the game open, 

Have the game in Windows Mode

(I was in CAS, so I could check to see if this would work)

Right click the little speaker, on the lower right of the screen

Click the "Troubleshoot sound problems" option

A smallish box with an AI Helper popped up and offered to assist;

follow the prompts

And, 

Eureka! Bless you, my little AI Helper Buddy!

Have tested it twice since, it worked for me.

@Ed1776 Hello, I was reading carefully the whole post because I have the same problem and it has not been solved either. In my case this started after the update fix. Just today I opened the game and I find myself without sound. If you find a solution please let me know.

@Ed1776--and you had both options under 'exclusive mode' enabled?

i wonder if the Alienware Command Centre might have something to do with this, if it's running while the game is. it's weird that it's only on this one game though.

i'm sorry i'm unable to suggest anything else.

I have the sound problem after one of the latest Updates. No solution has worked for me. Still no sound. Is this a known Ticket for the EA Support?

Nothing has worked. At this point I'm just going to wait for the next update and hope that fixes the problem.

@pixelschubse I finally got it to work. Right click on the Speaker icon on the task bar and select spacial sound and turn that on. (for me it said spacial sound - windows sonic for headphones) I hope this helps.

@puzzlezaddict Thank you for your advice. Out of everything I've tried this far the orgin advanced launch options is what did the trick. Thank you very much, my daughter will be very pleased to see (or should I say hear) that the volume on her sims 4 game is working once again.
