No Disc Insterted Error

I just downloaded and installed (and uninstalled and reinstalled) Into the Future from Origin. I am getting an error that reads:

No disc insterted.

Please insert the original "Sims 3 EP11" CD/DVD.

This error appears whenever I try to play or install content.

It may be possible that your game code is for the disc version and you need a digital download code. This issue needs to be reolved by a game consultant. Go to help.ea,com and click contact us on the right and follow the prompts until you get to a page that is live chat or contact us.

I had the same exact issue. I contacted EA support through their chat system. They had me redownload a patch even though my game appeared to me to be patched to the latest. Now it works. Sorry this doesn't explain much, but I hope it helps.

Just download the super patch; it worked for me.
