I’m new to PC and I’m not sure what to buy for assembled PC (or is it better to buy pre-made one instead?). What do I need to be able to run my sims in HQ?

My budget is $1,000 - $1,500

I need one that wouldn’t lag or slows down even when I run my sims in HQ with CC/Mods and could do multitasking.

@Soothes  It's a bit difficult to figure out what exactly you can get in Hong Kong, and for what price, especially with the language barrier (for me).  But I did find this reddit thread, which suggests what might be the perfect solution for you: buying custom parts and then having the store assemble the computer.

This way, you can select components that will support later upgrades (especially the motherboard and power supply), as well as measure the case to make sure a larger graphics card will fit if you want to add one later.

Of the games you listed, Apex has the highest recommended specs, needing something like an Nvidia 2070 to run on ultra.  A high-end 1060 6 GB or a 1660 would run Apex on high, and all your other games as well.  If you want to go more in-depth about the other components, both the type and the brand, let me know.  And I guessed that your budget was converted into U.S. dollars, since that would just about get you the right computer (google says $1500 U.S. is $11,758 H.K., at least today), but if this isn't what you had in mind, please let me know.

In the meantime, this may not be the most efficient choice, or the lowest price, but here are a couple of good prebuilt models from newegg Hong Kong that would fit your budget.

The second one has a better processor and more RAM, but you could also buy a 16 or 32 GB RAM kit and install it yourself.  You would probably also want to add a second SSD for gaming, although Sims 4 at least will run exactly the same on a mechanical drive.

@Soothes  What country are you buying from?  (A few different countries use some kind of dollar.)  Prices will be different depending on where you are.

And is there anything else you'd like to do with this computer?  If there are other games, or other demanding programs, I can factor that in too when looking for a computer.

If you're comfortable building your own PC, you could look into that, and I could point you towards the right hardware.  But in your price range, it's probably easier, and almost the same price, to buy a prebuilt model instead, unless you already own some of the parts you'd want to use.  You could also split the difference and order a custom build.  But that depends on what you want this computer to be able to do.

Hi, I’m either buying from Hong Kong or the Philippines. I need a PC for school and gaming such as CS:GO, Apex, and PUBG. I think assembled PC is better for I could upgrade the parts when I have to, right?

But I’m also considering buying a pre-built one. Could you give me a link of what you think is good? Thanks
