New Update Messed Up Gameplay

My Creating Sims, Managing Worlds, and Traveling is completely fine. But just one problem with my sims, they get stuck doing a task or just stand there forever. For example (I have 3 sims in my household), I tell one of my sim to go use the bathroom and she does, but when she's done she just sits on the toilet and do not get up, even when I cancel it. I have to use the reset code/cheat to get her up but then she just stands there when I tell her to do something else. As for my other sims they do not move at all. But there was one problem that she washed her hands in the air, no where near the sink. This is my first time having an issue with the Sims and I don't know what to do. Should I just wait for a new update/patch, or can I do something? Please help. I do have mods I must add, but none of them had issues before. Thank you if you respond. (:

Problem with mods is that they cause issues with the game after a update.
So try taking them out and see if it fixes things.
