@HypeNotik Yes, now that the Origin workaround isn't valid anymore, at least without some serious interventions, uninstalling and reinstalling is the only option here.

Hi,
I've bought the Sims 3 Seasons pack about 3-4 times already, and each time the pack will never download like my others. I have gotten refunds each time because it will say "In-game content'' instead of downloading like everything else, and app recovery or repairs don't work. If anybody could help that would be appreciated!
(I also can't get in contact with EA live chat)

@Tillmeh8 Does the pack show up under Manage > Manage add-ons? If so, and you see a Download button, click it.
If you see "in-game content," the only fix is to uninstall and reinstall the game. But there are other issues with reinstalling, so if you have the space, I'd suggest renaming the existing program files rather than removing them. First, open the EA App, select Sims 3, then Manage > View properties, and you'll see the install location. This is for Sims 4, but you get the idea:
Close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager. Open that file path and rename the Sims 3 folder. Then restart your computer, open the App, and download Sims 3 again. If everything installs correctly, you can delete the old Sims 3 folder you renamed. You'll need to shut down the App and the background service again.
If one or more packs don't install correctly, close the App and kill the background service, then copy the folders for those packs from the old Sims 3 folder you renamed to the new one. (Pack folders are labeled by pack type and release order, e.g. Seasons was the eighth expansion, so its folder is EP08.) Open the App and try again to download those packs. The App should verify their presence and finalize the install rather than redownloading the content. When you're done, you can delete the old Sims 3 folder.

I'm having the same issue. I downloaded the Sims 3 Pets on the EA app and it does not give me an option to download it, it just says "in-game content". I've tried restarting the app, clearing the catche, and repairing the game. Nothing has worked. Has anyone actually gotten this expansion working? I've also sent an EA to EA help and chatted on Facebook.

I recently bought The Sims 3 Into The Future on my computer from the EA app. However, I just purchase I cannot find a way to install them into the game. When I click Manage Add-Ons the the games appear at the bottom of the list and say "In-Game Content" where as all the other packs say "installed." When I open the Sims 3 game launcher it does not show the new packs as installed either. Everything I try on the EA app just takes me in circles. How can i get this to download? Please someone help

The only current way around this bug is to uninstall and reinstall Sims 3 in its entirety.
