@Eianous Please move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you open the launcher, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that works, you can start transferring your content from the old Sims 3 folder to the new one. Do so in batches, testing each time to make sure the game still launches. Not all files need to be transferred; here's a detailed list of what the files and folders are for and whether you'd want to preserve them:

If the game doesn't launch even when you use a completely clean Sims 3 folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
