My sim won't write books

For some reason my sim won't write books. She'll go over the the computer to do practically anything else, but for writing books, the icon won't even pop up, and she won't go over to the computer. She wrote a book previously too, but now she just won't. I'm using the base game, no mods.

@Venusaur0817 Are you on PC/Mac or console ?

Did you update your game to Patch 1.59.73 if you're on PC/Mac ?
