My game is lagging after City Living was released

Hello. I'm having very serious lagging with my game after the release of City Living (this didn't happen after the patch, only after the release of CL itself). It has been very unresponsive and slow. I've never had this kind of trouble with my game before.

As suggested on the forums, I let the game generate a new The Sims 4 folder and set it to run on 64 bit, which made the lag a little less worse, but it's still basically unplayable.

Any suggestions?

Could you post a DxDiag?
Please follow this how to on how to gather your DxDiag.
You can post the DxDiag by attaching it to your next reply.

So sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm on a Windows 10, so how do I get my DxDiag? The link you gave me only gives instructions on how to get DxDiag up to Windows 8. Is there a specific way or..?

You can just search for DxDiag in the search bar.

Even after the last patch it's still an inconvenient enough lag to irritate.  I posted and sent my dxdiag to a post last month but received no response.  I thought "ok it's not worth the trouble to answer me" - but i'm about ready to throw it away, not play.  A game is not worth this kind of aggravation.  

If EA isn't recognizing a problem, this won't get fixed and I threw away money for nothing...that's how aggravating it feels to have this lag.  I appreciate any help you could offer me.

I'm not sure to which you responded with your DxDiag, but I would suggest keeping to that one.

I responded with dxdiag because of the serious lagging since City Living release.  My other posts did not have any relation to lagging from City Living.

You could try moving out your screenshots and tray folder from Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/.

And giving your Intel graphics card driver an update.
