My game RUNS SLOW and LAGS SIMS 4

Hi everyone, my sims 4 has been going really slow lately. I was wondering would this be caused because I have too many things on my computer, if so should I uninstall all my sims 3 games as I never play them?

@ChloeMay03 Do you have any cc/mods installed in your game? Did the game ever run smoothly? Do you have the recommended free space on your system device?
